The 2016 Top Writing Related Events I’m Adding to my Calendar

With 2016 just around the corner, this is the time that I write down my yearly goals, some are realistic and some are on the contingent that I win the lottery.  I always make a list of any and all writing related events and see if my wallet can get me there.

Attending conferences is important to me because during and right after leaving a writing event, I feel rejuvenated and I believe that I can accomplish any writing goal. This is how I refill my creative well. At these events, I get inspired by panelists, get the latest industry news and feel the collective energy of being around other people who understand that daydreaming complex stories with characters that feel as real as your family members is a socially acceptable hobby. This hobby leads to writing completed books, which could get published and then readers could enjoy your tales. Rinse and Repeat.

For my 2016 list, here is the list I have started —

The National Romance Writers of America https://www.rwa.org/conference

  2. Oh! I didn’t know about the Romance Weekend in Portland! I’m going to see if I can attend. It would be so much fun to catch up with the Rose City writers again.
